Congratulations to Varsity Boys on winning the Section Champion title for this season!

Our Cheerleading Program begins with the Pep Squad, which is open to girls in grades K-2. They are taught basic Cheerleading skills, as well how to perform them safely. This program continues through the eighth grade.  The cheerleaders participate in a variety of community parades and competitions.

Our girls Volley Ball Team has gone from not having a team to one of the most competitive in the Diocese in this short time. Our girls have learned all of the different facets of the game and have strived very hard to be a unified team. This program is open for girls in the fourth through eighth grade. We have two teams, a Jr. Varsity as well as a Varsity Team. The St. Germaine volleyball team is preparing for berths in the Diocesan play-offs. Go, Chargers!

Our school is proud of it’s Basketball tradition.

We have a program called Little Dribblers that is an instuctional program where boys and girls from Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade learn basic basketball skills. The Little Dribblers perform at home basketball games.
Grades 3 and 4 learn basic fundamentals on our Novice Team.
SGS offers both boys and girls basketball programs.  Grades 5 and 6 comprise our J.V. Teams. While grades 7 and 8 make up the Varsity teams.
These teams participate in games against other schools in the Diocese in a regular season schedule as well as Tournament play.  St. Germaine has a long tradition of great Basketball Teams, which have won many Diocesan Titles along with many Tournaments.

Our Cross Country team is open to boys and girls in grades 3 through 8. Our team competes against other Catholic School teams in the Diocese.

Ms. Alicia Swiger is the cross-country coach for the 2007-2008 season. Ms. Swiger is a school parent and recently ran a marathon, as well as some shorter distance races. Thank you, Ms. Swiger, for running with the Chargers! THE FASTEST STUDENT IN THE DIOCESE IS A STUDENT AT ST. GERMAINE SCHOOL!!! Evan Sommer, a 7th grade student at our school placed first in the Diocesan Championship Cross-Country Tournament at Slippery Rock University on October 13, 2007. Congratulations to Evan, and to the other students who conditioned all summer for this fall season. Go, Chargers!

Adults from our school as well as from our parish supervise all of these activities. Parental involvement in these programs is strongly recommended.
